Historical 4 star hotel in Venice
Ancient hotel in Venice, dating back to the 13th century when the doges of Venice would stop on their way to hunt boar on the Lido; situated just few steps from Piazza San Marco and overlooking the charming Bacino Orseolo it provides a dock for taxi boats.
The BEST WESTERN Hotel Cavalletto e Doge Orseolo has been totally rebuilt in the 19th, with rooms tastefully decorated in Venetian style and equipped with all comforts, now overlooking the Bacino Orseolo where gondolas are moored, gave hospitality to great personalities such as Richard Strauss and Winston Churchill.
Refurbished and enlarged in 1994, it offers the best position for a delightful stay in the laguna.
The restaurant “La Colomba”, listed in the Michelin Guide, offers excellent Venetian cuisine.
