About 500 meters from the center of Evreux, the Best Western Plus Palais des Congres, Evreux, France, brings air-conditioned, soundproofed rooms in a building renovated throughout, well placed in the capital of the Eure, halfway between Paris and the Normandy coast. An on-site restaurant is open daily, suited equally to seminars and family meals, and the setting makes an easy base for meetings as well as for touring the castles, gardens, and golf courses of the surrounding country.
The central location keeps the town and the wider region within easy reach. Evreux gathers around its Gothic cathedral and the green banks of the Iton, which threads through the town in a series of channels, with the abbey towns, manor houses, and beech forests of Normandy spreading out to the west and Paris an easy run to the east.
Between the two, it makes a quiet and well-placed base for exploring either.
